THE LOWLY CLOCHE...

Waaaaaaaaa, sniff, sniff, sob, sob, waaaaaaaaa....I just want to cry.  I was getting ready to hit the publish button for my perfectly finished cloche post when my computer locked up and I lost everything.  TWICE!!!  How does this happen?  I really, really just want to...waaaaaaa

Anyway, I can't remember every little word or pretty little detail of those perfectly written posts, but I am bound and determined to tell you about my good fortune...If it KILLS me!!!  Hear that blogger?  I WILL publish this post!

 Anywhooooo....

This past weekend was JUNK-A-RAMA in Steelville...the annual city wide yardsale.  I only had a few minutes to shop before heading back to work...I browsed and didn't see anything of interest to me and was getting ready to leave empty handed....and then I saw her...

The mother of all cloches...that means HUGE folks...yes, how could I have not spotted her right away? I mean she's totally gigantic.  Maybe I just didn't expect to find such a fabulous treasure at a place like this and for sooooooo CHEAP...only $2.00.  Yes, ONLY $2.00!!

THE LOWLY CLOCHE...

What used to be known as a gardener's tool to protect young, tender plants from frost and inclimate weather, has now become the home decorator's delight...Of course, you all knew that, didn't you?  They are just so pretty and; of course, so very versatile.

I can't show you a picture of my new cloche yet...well, because I am still trying to decide just what I want to showcase under her first.  I'm still trying to decide just how I want to present her to the world...the blog world that is...

Oddly enough she looks EXACTLY like this one over at Picket's Place...right down to the black base...

Maybe I'll tuck in a few stately roos under my dome like Pat at Back Porch Musings...

Back Porch Musings

or perhaps some corks.  They are popular right now...

Making Lemonade

or how about some old, worn books and book pages...hmmm that's a thought.

Maybe, I'll just tuck in a few treats...everybody knows food looks tastier under glass...

I really like this idea of Debbie's at Debbiedoos...Christmas balls....

Debbiedoos

nah...I'm thinking perhaps something a little more summery...like some sand and seashells.  Hmmm now that's a grand idea.

Wow, so many ideas....so little time.  These things are sooooo versatile.  I just can't decide what I'm going to showcase under my new cloche, but as soon as I figure it out...you will be the first to know!

Do you have a cloche?  What do you use yours for?  I'd love to hear all about it!
